Customer states he thinks the engine overheated

A potential client pulls up in his Dodge Charger, it’s completely smoking.  He states he thinks it overheated.  We say, OK, lets pop the hood and take a peek.

We think he is correct, looks like it did overheat.  Seems to have taken all the water/antifreeze out of the system too.  Everything in the engine bay is dry, old dry.  Not like he just put water in right before he drove over.

We are not sure why he actually drove the car to us.  He may have caused more damage.  I guess when you don’t know, you don’t know.

Back then we were removing engines from the car, no longer the case, but in this case, we pulled his engine.

Let’s see what we find.

Looks like we found some damage.

Seems our client was having a bad day.  Nothing that couldn’t be repaired.  But not a happy camper.

I do not remember all the details, if anything else was broken or not.

If I remember correctly, he let his son use the car.  A young son who didn’t know anything about cars, except pedal to the metal baby!

As always, if we can assist with your engine, use the Contact page to drop us a line.
