About us
In the late 70’s, we opened our machine shop, Valley Auto Parts and Engines, in Sun Valley, CA. We stayed there until May of 2025.
Prior to opening the Machine Shop, we also had an Auto Parts Store up the street on Sunland Blvd. We combined the two a few years later.
Back in the day, finding a good machine shop in the valley was tough. Perfect for us to service local customers, auto shops, dealerships and DIY customers. We had many good years at that location. Recently, the building was sold, rents went sky high, and we made the decision to close the brick and mortar store and focus online.
Still doing business, just no longer with a retail store.

Old Ads
Before the Internet, we used to create Ads in the Recycler on a regular basis. It was a local newsprint Classified Ads paper. This is a throwback ad from the 2000’s. The Recycler closed it doors after decades in business.

Old school Machine Shop founded in 1979 as an engine builder, machine shop and auto parts store. Building the classics to current day motors. We specialize in Chevy 235’s and 216’s.

Filled a need in the San Fernando Valley for machine work, engine rebuilding, head work, block work and machine services.

Build quality engines, provide great customer service, inform and educate our clients. Recycle and breath new life into tired old engines. Build relationships.
